Sophie Dress & Top
Sophie can be made as either a top or a dress. Both options have a gathered neckline that ties up into a bow at the front, raglan sleeves that gather above the cuff and buttons down the front.
My patterns are designed to be super easy for novice sewers. The pattern comes with step-by-step sewing instructions in plain language with pictures, so you don’t get bamboozled with complicated sewing-language! And if you don’t understand anything you can get in contact with me and I’ll explain further – easy!

Sizing
The pattern includes sizes 6 - 24. Please note, these are New Zealand sizes, however the instructions include a sizing chart that you can use to figure out which size is best for you if you’re not familiar with New Zealand sizing. The sizing chart is also shown in the second to last picture of the listing.
Fabric requirements
The Sophie Dress and Top both work well with light to medium weight woven fabrics with a good drape. Try a soft cotton, light-weight linen, rayon or viscose. I would caution against using a heavy weight fabric otherwise the gathering around the collar won’t sit nicely.

You'll also need 1cm-wide elastic and buttons - the instructions details how much you need, depending on your size.

This is a print-it-yourself pattern. You will be emailed a PDF file with the instructions and pattern so you can print them at home or at your local print shop.
